KATACARA, MAKASSAR— Rektor Universitas Hasanuddin, Prof. Dr. Dwia Aries Tina Pulubuhu, MA., menyerahkan langsung medali kepada delegasi mahasiswa yang berhasil meraih juara pada ajang kompetisi Pekan Ilmiah Nasional (PIMNAS) ke-33 Tahun 2020.

Acara penyerahan medali berlangsung pukul 16.00 Wita secara luring terbatas dengan penerapan protokol Covid-19 di Ruang Senat Akademik Unhas, Lt. 2 Gedung Rektorat, Kampus Tamalanrea, Makassar, Kamis (10/12).

Mengawali kegiatan, Ketua Pokja Pimnas Unhas, Dr. Suhasman, menjelaskan prestasi diraih dengan proses yang panjang. Hal ini adalah satu kebanggaan dan kebahagian tersendiri bagi Unhas, mengingat bagaimana proses yang telah dilalui hingga berada pada capaian membanggakan.

“PIMNAS kita berada di posisi 5 besar. Ini tidak diraih dengan serta merta. Pembelajaran panjang yang telah dilalui akhirnya memberikan hasil yang maksimal. Semoga ini menjadi awal yang baik untuk Unhas kedepan,” jelas Suhasman.

Wakil Rektor Unhas Bidang Kemahasiswaan dan Alumni, Prof. drg. A. Arsunan, M.Kes., dalam sambutan singkatnya juga memberikan apresiasi dan rasa bangga kepada mahasiswa dan dosen pembimbing, serta pihak yang terlibat dalam mendorong peningkatan capaian Unhas dalam PIMNAS.

Beliau menuturkan prestasi tersebut juga tidak terlepas dari arahan dan dukungan serta motivasi yang diberikan oleh pimpinan Unhas. Berkat kerjasama yang baik Unhas dapat memperoleh posisi lima besar dengan perolehan sepuluh medali.

“PIMNAS selalu menjadi topik besar setiap tahunnya. Saya sangat terharu waktu dinyatakan masuk lima besar. Ini tentunya berkat dedikasi luar biasa dari mahasiswa dan semua yang terlibat didalamnya. Kemenangan mungkin gampang didapatkan, tapi tantangan saat ini bagaimana mempertahankan dan meningkatkan prestasi tahun mendatang,” jelas Prof Arsunan.

Pada kesempatan yang sama, Rektor Unhas Prof. Dr. Dwia Aries Tina Pulubuhu, MA., dalam sambutannya menyampaikan terima kasih atas capaian prestasi yang membanggakan dari mahasiswa. Menurut beliau, sampai pada tahap ini tentu tidak mudah, ada usaha dan kerja keras serta tekad luar biasa yang menjadi landasan kuat atas kesuksesan yang didapatkan.

“Ini adalah satu kebanggaan tersendiri bagi Unhas, ibaratnya kalian adalah pahlawan pendidikan. Saya selalu dorong para dekan maupun unit kerja yang terlibat untuk bisa bekerja sama, karena pekerjaan seperti ini tidak hanya menjadi tanggung jawab WD 3 atau WR 3 saja. Tapi, menjadi tanggung jawab kita bersama. Sekali lagi, dari hati yang ikhlas kami menyampaikan terima kasih atas dedikasinya,” jelas Prof. Dwia.
