KATACARA, BOGOR, – Perasaan tak percaya seolah menggelayut di pikiran Dendi (22) tatkala ia diterima bekerja di Pesantren tempat ia menimba ilmu dahulu. Ia disambut dengan hangat dengan seluruh staf yang ada di Pesantren. Rata-rata mereka sudah kenal dan mengetahui Dendi karena memang ia dikenal sebagai alumni yang baik dan punya prestasi.
Sebelum memutuskan melamar kerja dan diterima di Pesantren sebagai Staf Tata Usaha, sebelumnya Dendi pernah mencoba pekerjaan lain, akan tetapi hasratnya yang besar akan ilmu agama dan mengabdi di Pesantren membuat ia bertekad untuk kembali ke Pesantren namun bukan sebagai santri lagi.

Kendala Dendi dalam mewujudkan keinginan tersebut, adalah kendala belum tertebusnya ijazah Madrasah Aliyah milik Dendi. Beruntung pada 2017 Dompet Dhuafa membantu melunasi tunggakan Dendi.

Setelah hampir tiga tahun berlalu, Dendi menghubungi tim Dompet Dhuafa perihal kabar gembira tersebut. Ia berterima kasih karena dahulu pernah dibantu Dompet Dhuafa dan kini telah bekerja sebagai Staf Tata Usaha.

“Terima kasih kepada Dompet Dhuafa yang telah bantu saya dan kini saya dapat pekerjaan yang layak,” ujar Dendi via sambungan telepon.

Hal yang sama turut dirasakan oleh Silviana Ningtias (19). Gadis asal Ciampea Bogor ini begitu beruntung, karena belum lama sejak lulus dari SMA ia sudah bekerja di salah satu Lembaga Keuangan sebagai Staf Adminstrasi. Sebelum mendapat pekerjaan sebagai staf administrasi, gadis yang biasa disapa Silvi ini terlebih dahulu bekerja di sebuah toko dengan gaji yang masih terbilang minim.

Maklum karena dahulu ia belum bisa melamar kerja di sebuah Perusahaan karena masih menggunakan Surat Keterangan Lulus (SKL). Namun sejak tahun lalu, Dompet Dhuafa membantu Silvi untuk membantu menebus ijazahnya. Alhamdulilah kini selain bisa mendapat pekerjaan yang jauh lebih baik dari sebelumnya, penghasilan Silvi pun terbilang lumayan.

“Alhamdulillah sudah bisa bantu-bantu ibu sekarang sambil sedikit-sedikit bisa nabung buat kuliah,” ujar Silvi saat ditemui di tempat kerjanya pada Kamis (18/03/2020).

Dendi dan Silvi merupakan pemuda yang berasal dari keluarga sederhana. Ekonomi keluarga mereka tergolong masyarakat ekonomi menengah ke bawah. Dengan adanya Program Tebus Ijazah dari Dompet Dhuafa membuka jalan bagi mereka dan remaja lain yang telah lulus sekolah namun terkendala biaya tunggakan administrasi untuk mendapat pekerjaan yang layak sehingga bisa mengangkat ekonomi keluarga ke taraf yang lebih baik.

Data mencatat setidaknya sejumlah 48 Orang anak yatim yang memenuhi kriteria program ini telah dibantu oleh Dompet Dhuafa di tahun 2020 silam.
