KATACARA, JAKARTA – Pendistribusian daging kurban saat moment Idul Adha telah meningkatkan secara eksponensial volume sampah plastik masyarakat. Secara umum, masyarakat Indonesia masih terbiasa menggunakan kantong plastik sebagai wadah atau kemasan daging kurban yang akan dibagikan. Tak dielakkan karena kantong plastik cukup familiar, mudah diperoleh serta harganya yang terjangkau, membuat masyarakat sulit beralih ke kemasan lain.

Dompet Dhuafa bersama dengan Filantropi Indonesia dan Belantara Foundation berusaha memberikan edukasi melalui Philanthropy Sharing Session Eps. 6 dari Klaster Filantropi Lingkungan Hidup dan Konservasi pada Kamis (8/7/2021). Kegiatan yang berlangsung secara virtual dan disiarkan langsung melalui channel youtube DDTV bertajuk ‘Pengendalian Sampah Plastik Saat Idul Adha’.

“Momentum Idul Adha dinilai tepat untuk mendorong pengurangan penggunaan sampah plastik. Saya berharap kegitatan ini dapat memberi manfaat untuk kita semua dan kita semua dapat bergotongroyong untuk berkontribusi mengurangi penggunaan sampah plastik di Indonesia,” ucap Rizal Algamar sebagai Ketua Badan Pengurus Filantropi Indonesia.

Di sisi lain, masyarakat masih memiliki pemahaman yang minim untuk memperlakukan sampah plastik dengan benar. Ditambah dengan sitem daur ulang sampah yang belum kompeten di Indonesia. Hal-hal tersebut akan semakin membuat penumpukkan sampah plastik di tempat penampungan akhir. Dampak panjangnya akan berefek pada pencemaran lingkungan. Oleh karena itu, tidak heran Indonesia menduduki peringkat kedua sebagai pencemar laut kedua terbesar di dunia.

Kementrian Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan (KLHK) sendiri telah mengeluarkan surat edaran SE.2/PSLB3/PS/PLB.0/7/2019 tentang Pelaksanaan Hari Raya Idul Adha Tanpa Sampah kepada seluruh pemerintah daerah di Indonesia. Himbauan ini ditujukan kepada setiap kepala daerah agar mengajak warganya dapat menggunakan kemasan ramah lingkungan sebagai wadah daging kurban.

“Banyak sekali manfaat yang bisa ditimbulkan dari pengelolaan hewan kurban dengan baik, salah satunya pemberdayaan usaha kecil menengah yang berbasis ekonomi kerakyatan. Ini adalah salah satu kemanfaatan yang dapat ditimbulkan dari perayaan Idul Adha jika dikelola dengan baik, kurban itu asik tanpa sampah plastik, Sampah plastik ini banyak dibicarakan baik di level nasional maupun internasional. Karena berita tentang sampah plastik ini sudah mengalahkan isu terkait perubahan iklim. Kami sangat senang karena pemerintah bermitra dengan instansi yang peduli dengan lingkungan.kami sudah mengkampanyekan kurban asik tanpa plastik ini sudah sekitar 2 – 3 tahun yang lalu. Indeks Perilaku ketidakpedulian Lingkungan Hidup berdasarkan laporan BPS pada tahun 2018,75 % masyarakat kita tidak peduli dengan sampah terutama lingkungan artinya kita punya pr besar merubah masyarakat kita khusunya sampah plastijk untuk lebih peduli.”ucap Ujang Solihin Sidik, Kepala Subdirektorat Barang dan Kemasan Direktorat Pengelolaan Sampah Kementerian Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan (KLHK)

Idul Adha 2021 ini, Dompet Dhuafa bersama dengan Klaster Filantropi Lingkungan Hidup dan Konservasi (KFLHK), Filantropi Indonesia, dan Belantara Foundation berinisiatif membuat gerakan Kurban Asyik Tanpa Sampah Plastik. Gerakan tersebut merupakan kampanye untuk mengedukasi masyarakat agar dapat beralih ke kemasan alternatif yang ramah lingkungan sebagai wadah daging kurban.

“Gerakan ini merupakan langkah awal dari KFLHK untuk membantu mengurangi sampah plastik yang telah menumpu di Indonesia. Setiap tahunnya diperkirakan terdapat 5,4 juta sampah plastik yang dihasilkan di Indonesia. Moment Idul Adha dinilai tepat untuk meluncurkan gerakan pengurangan sampah plastik. Dengan berkurban sambal menjaga lingkungan, pahala yang didapatkan akan dapat berlipat. Masyarakat dapat memanfaatkan besek bambu, daung pisang/jati, plasti gelatin/singkong, dan wadah makanan”, ujar Hamid Abidin, Direktur Filantropi Indonesia.

Hal senada juga diungkapkan Arif Rahmadi Haryono, GM Advokasi & Aliansi Strategis Dompet Dhuafa, “semangat keber-Agama-an di dalam perayaan Idul Adha sejatinya selaras dengan semangat pelestarian lingkungan. Namun, kami melihat kebanyakan masyarakat Indonesia belum menyadari bahayanya sampah plastik bagi lingkungannya sendiri. Gerakan “Kurban Asik Tanpa Sampah Plastik” diluncurkan untuk mendorong perubahan perilaku masyarakat dalam penggunaan plastik yang tidak dapat didaur ulang, terutama di momen Idul Adha. Dengan masyarakat didorong untuk mengganti wadah daging kurban yang ramah lingkungan, secara langsung kami juga berharap ada upaya masyarakat untuk menjaga kelestarian wilayahnya tersebut, pungkas Arif.“

Gerakan Kurban Asyik Tanpa Sampah Plastik ini akan dilakukan kurang lebih satu bulan. Kegiatan pertama gerakan ini adalah Philanthropy Sharing Session “Pengendalian Sampah Plastik Saat Idul Adha”. Selain itu materi edukasi juga telah disediakan agar menyebarluasan informasi lebih cepat. Gerakan ini juga meliputi kompetisi pembuatan video terkait inisiatif masyarakat untuk menggunakan bahan ramah lingkungan sebagai wadah daging kurban. Besar harapan agar gerakan ini dapat meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat mengurangi penggunaan plastik tidak hanya saat Idul Adha tapi juga dalam keseharian.

Kegiatan ini turut dihadiri beberapa narasumber seperti Bambang Suherman selaku Direktur Komunikasi dan Aliansi Strategis Dompet Dhuafa, Aryanie Amellina sebagai Environment and Climate Action Specialist UNICEF Indonesia, Dwi Sasetyaningtyas selaku CEO Sustaination. Pada kesempatan yang sama Kepala Subdirektorat Barang dan Kemasan Direktorat Pengelolaan Sampah Kementerian Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan (KLHK) Ujang Solihin Sidik turut hadir memberikan materi tentang pencemaran lingkungan dari sampah kemasan.

“Kami terus mengajak anak-anak dan remaja untuk belajar bersama melalui program U-Reporters yang dapat menerima informasi dari UNICEF. Dalam program ini kami baru saja mengkampanyekan program pengurangan sampah plastik pada perayaan World Impairment Day. Disini terlihat antusiasme tinggi dari anak-anak dan remaja untuk mengurangi sampah plastik dan akan berlanjut dengan kampanye Kurban Asik Tanpa Plastik,” ucap Aryanie Amellina sebagai Environment and Climate Action Specialist UNICEF Indonesia

“Inti dari berkurban adalah berbagi kepada orang lain, ketika kita memakai besek walaupun lebih mahal tapi kita sebetulnya berbagi dengan saudara kita yang lain seperti pengerajin besek. Karena esensi berkurban adalah berbagi untuk kesejahteraan orang lain yang mana ini amal dan sedekah yang nilainya tidak berbeda denan berkurban,” ucap Tyas mengkahiri materi.”ucap Dwi Sasetyaningtyas selaku CEO Sustaination.

Dompet Dhuafa terus meningkatkan program yang ada guna mewujudkan Kurban Asik Tanpa Plastik. Hal ini adalah bentuk komitmen dari Dompet Dhuafa setiap tahunnya dalam menjalankan Hari Raya Idul Adha, dari mulai penyembelihan sampai dengan pendistribusian. Semoga langkah-langkah luar biasa dari semua pihak mampu meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat untuk menjaga kelestarian lingkungan. Dompet Dhuafa berusaha mengikuti budaya lokal disetiap daerah dalam penggunaan kemasan untuk pendistribusian.
