KATACARA, MAKASSAR– Universitas Hasanuddin bekerja sama dengan Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) akan menghadirkan layanan pembayaran elektronik yang diberi nama Unhas Pay. Layanan ini dimaksudkan untuk memberikan kemudahan kepada sivitas akademika Unhas dalam proses transaksi.

Komitmen tersebut tertuang melalui Penandatanganan Perjanjian Kerja Sama antara Rektor Unhas (Prof. Dr. Dwia Aries Tina Pulubuhu, MA) bersama Direktur Konsumer BRI (Handayani). Kegiatan penandatanganan PKS berlangsung pukul 15.00 Wita secara virtual melalui aplikasi zoom meeting, Jumat (30/07).

Mengawali kegiatan, Handayani mengucapkan terima kasih atas penerimaan dan kepercayaan serta sambutan hangat dari pihak Unhas untuk menjalin kerja sama. Dirinya mengatakan, BRI siap bersinergi mendukung berbagai peran dan kontribusi Unhas, utamanya dalam menghadirkan jasa perbankan.

Platform Unhas Pay akan menjadi suatu kebanggaan tersendiri karena mampu memberikan kemudahan kepada masyarakat secara menyeluruh.

Lebih lanjut, Handayani menambahkan sejatinya BRI dan Unhas telah memiliki hubungan kemitraan yang cukup erat. BRI banyak terlibat dalam pengelolaan rekening, pemberian beasiswa hingga pembayaran UKT kepada sivitas akademika Unhas.

“Kami percaya, keberadaan BRI akan memberikan kemudahan terhadap tugas dan fungsi Unhas untuk memberikan dan meningkatkan kepercayaan kepada masyarakat dalam bidang jasa perbankan maupun aspek lainnya,” jelas Handayani.

Pada kesempatan yang sama, Rektor Unhas Prof. Dwia juga memberikan sambutan hangat dengan adanya kerja sama bersama BRI. Langkah ini menunjukkan bahwa Unhas semakin dekat untuk terus berkontribusi memberikan kemudahan kepada masyarakat dalam berbagai aspek.

Beliau mengatakan, kerja sama tersebut menjadi komitmen Unhas dalam menciptakan masyarakat berbasis digital, yang mana kebermanfaatannya berdampak luas mendukung terciptanya pengelolaan keuangan negara yang efektif dan efisien.

“Unhas Pay akan menjangkau komunitas e-payment yang luas karena tidak hanya menjangkau mahasiswa maupun dosen. Namun, juga para alumni yang tentunya melibatkan jumlah orang yang cukup besar. Saya berharap, layanan ini bisa tersosialisasi secara meluas dan optimal untuk diketahui oleh masyarakat,” jelas Prof. Dwia.

Lebih lanjut, Prof. Dwia berharap kehadiran e-payment yang berbasis pada pelanggan akan memberikan beban jasa yang minim kepada pengguna, mengingat sebagai besar mahasiswa Unhas berasal dari berbagai daerah di Indonesia. Beliau juga berpesan, agar e-payment Unhas dapat menghadirkan pelayanan dan kebermanfaatan yang prima.

“Pendekatan ini harus dipegang secara bersamaan dan menghindari unsur komersialisasi yang akan merugikan atau menjadi beban kepada mahasiswa. Melalui layanan ini, bisa semakin menguatkan Unhas untuk kemaslahatan masyarakat. Selain itu, BRI sebagai mitra kami dapat terus ikut mengawal spirit Unhas sebagai humaniversity yang mengedepankan aktivitas dan spirit yang bisa mewarnai e-payment,” tambah Prof. Dwia.

Setelah penandatanganan PKS, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan penjelasan singkat dari Bank BRI terkait fitur-fitur yang hadir dalam Unhas Pay tersebut.
