KATACARA, DEPOK,–Dompet Dhuafa bekerjasama dengan Qalista Peduli Sesama kembali menggelar peringatan Hari Kanker Anak Sedunia, melalui acara bertajuk “Sahabat Berbagi Harapan Bersama Pasien Kanker Anak” pada Senin (15/2) bertempat di Aula Qalista Human Care Foundation, Jalan Sasak Raya Limo Depok.

Dalam acara ini puluhan anak dengan kanker beserta pendampingnya diajak untuk bergembira dan melupakan sejenak penyakit kanker yang dideritanya. Diisi dengan dongeng ceria, lomba mewarnai, pembagian ekstra fooding dan souvernir menarik ke pasien kanker anak. Pada akhir acara ditutup dengan doa bersama untuk kesembuhan dari Kanker.

Kepala Lembaga Pelayan Masyarakat (LPM) Dompet Dhuafa, Moh. Noor Awaluddin Asjhar mengungkapkan, peringatan Hari Kanker Anak Sedunia yang biasa diperingati pada 15 Februari ini diharapkan bisa meningkatkan kepedulian dan kesadaran masyarakat dunia atas kanker. Karena penyakit kanker memang tak hanya menyerang orang dewasa, tetapi juga anak-anak.

Semangat keceriaan anak-anak pun harus terus ada dan tumbuh agar mereka termotivasi untuk sembuh” ungkap Awal dalam keterangan nya Senin (15/02).

Sementara itu Founder Qalista Peduli Sesama, Susmerta Dewi Hara dalam sambutannya berterima kasih kepada Dompet Dhuafa karena acara yang dirancang sedemikian rupa ini berhasil membuat anak-anak penderita kanker merasa senang. Hal ini terbukti dari tingginya antusias mereka dalam mengikuti berbagai kegiatan.
