KATACARA, JAKARTA –Seluruh umat Muslim di berbagai belahan dunia sedang menyambut dan menjalani nikmat dan khidmatnya bulan suci Ramadhan. Bulan yang kerap dikaitkan dengan momentum berpuasa untuk menahan lapar, haus, serta berbuat kebaikan sebanyak-banyaknya ini selalu ditunggu-tunggu. Akan tetapi, ada kekhawatiran bahwa makna berpuasa atau fasting kini mulai bergeser menjadi feasting atau bulan berpesta. Salah satu dampak yang muncul seperti semakin menumpuknya sampah-sampah plastik kemasan makanan.

Berbagi paket menu berbuka merupakan aktivitas masyarakat Indonesia dengan jiwa gotong royong yang sangat tinggi, namun tidak disadari bahan pembungkus paket menu berbuka dapat menyebabkan penumpukan sampah plastik yang terbuang percuma. Bahkan penggunaannya bisa melebihi hari biasanya selama Ramadan bergulir.

Salah satu bentuk berbuat baik yang bisa sama-sama dapat kita lakukan adalah “berpuasa” menggunakan plastik sekali pakai demi menjaga bumi. Karena tidak dapat dipungkiri bahwa sampah plastik di Indonesia sudah sangat menumpuk. Di tahun 2019 saja sampah laut di Indonesia sudah mencapai 1,2 juta ton.

“Jika masyarakat Indonesia tidak melakukan upaya pengurangan konsumsi plastik sekali pakai, diramalkan tahun 2030 akan ada lebih banyak plastik daripada ikan di perairan Indonesia,” kata Direktur Yayasan Konservasi Laut, Nirwan Dessibali pada peluncuran Ramadan Go Green, Minggu (25 April 2021).

Dompet Dhuafa Volunteer berkomitmen untuk ikut andil dalam gerakan menjaga lingkungan dimulai dari bulan suci ini sekaligus ikut berpartisipasi dalam memperingati Hari Bumi Nasional.

Aksi yang kami inisiasi salah satunya adalah Ta’jil Eco Green dengan berkolaborasi bersama Plépah. Sebuah proyek kemasan ramah lingkungan terbuat dari pelepah pinang yang diinisiasi oleh teman-teman Footloose Initiative sebagai usaha untuk memberdayakan masyarakat di salah satu desa di Pulau Sumatera.

Aksi berbagi Ta’jil Eco green akan dilaksanakan di 15 titik di seluruh Indonesia dengan target sebaran 3205 ta’jil.
