FIB Unhas Bantu Penuhi Kebutuhan Pokok Mahasiswa

KACARANEWS.COM, Sebagai bentuk tanggung jawab sosial, Fakultas Ilmu Budaya (FIB) Universitas Hasanuddin menyalurkan sejumlah kebutuhan pokok bagi kalangan sivitas akademika yang terdampak, baik di lingkup FIB secara khusus maupun lingkup Unhas secara umum. Penyaluran bantuan kebutuhan pokok tersebut berlangsung di Teras Gedung Dekanat FIB Unhas, Kampus Tamalanrea, Makassar, Senin (13/04).

Turut hadir dalam penyaluran bantuan tersebut Wakil Rektor Bidang Kemahasiswaan dan Alumni Unhas (Prof. Dr. drg. A. Arsunan Arsin, M.Kes.), Dekan FIB Unhas (Prof. Dr. Akin Duli, M.A), beserta jajaran FIB.

Wakil Rektor Bidang Kemahasiswaan dan Alumni Unhas, Prof. Dr. drg. A. Arsunan Arsin, M.Kes., mengapresiasi inisiatif pimpinan fakultas di lingkup Unhas untuk ikut peduli terhadap permasalahan yang dihadapi masyarakat, terutama mahasiswa Unhas, yang ikut merasakan dampak wabah Covid-19.

“Saya percaya bantuan ini akan sangat membantu dalam situasi wabah Covid-19. Kami tetap menghimbau pada adik-adik mahasiswa untuk berdiam diri di rumah atau di kost sebagai upaya memutus rantai penularan. Juga perhatikan pola hidup sehat, gunakan masker, sering cuci tangan dengan sabun. Ini akan menjauhkan kita dari virus ini,” jelas Prof. Arsunan.

Dalam kegiatan donasi, FIB Unhas juga menambahkan paket data internet untuk mahasiswa dan masker. Bantuan bahan kebutuhan pokok diberikan utamanya kepada tenaga kebersihan kampus, tenaga kependidikan tidak tetap, serta satuan pengamanan kampus.

Dekan FIB Unhas, Prof. Dr. Akin Duli, M.A., menjelaskan bahwa kegiatan ini dapat terealisasi berkat dukungan dari sivitas akademika, dosen dan tenaga kependidikan di lingkup FIB.

“Jadi ini adalah aktivitas saling membantu. Teman-teman dosen merasa tergerak membantu mahasiswa yang masih bertahan di kost-kost mereka. Apalagi mahasiswa harus tetap kuliah daring yang membuat mereka butuh kuota lebih dari biasanya. Untuk itulah mengapa kami melaksanakan kegiatan hari ini,” jelas Prof Akin.

Sebelumnya, melalui koordinasi Wakil Dekan Bidang Kemahasiswaan dan Alumni FIB Unhas (Dr. Andi Faisal, S.S., M.Hum) bersama para pimpinan Departemen melakukan pendataan mahasiswa yang masih tinggal di sekitar kampus dan butuh bantuan bahan pokok dan paket kuota internet.

“Ini adalah kegiatan tahap pertama, kami rencanakan berkesinambungan paling tidak hingga bulan puasa nanti atau keadaan pulih,” kata Faisal.

Untuk tahap kedua, FIB Unhas akan kembali menyalurkan bantuan tersebut kepada pihak yang benar-benar membutuhkan untuk mengurangi beban yang mereka hadapi selama wabah Covid-19 terjadi.

“Kami rencanakan hari Senin (20/04) kembali kami peruntukkan untuk mahasiswa, tenaga kebersihan, satuan pengamanan kampus dan tenaga kependidikan tidak tetap yang telah kami data. Semoga bantuan ini dapat sedikit mengurangi beban karena wabah Covid-19,” tutup Faisal.(*/mir)
