KATACARA, SAMARINDA – Geliat bertani di pekarangan mendapat dukungan dari berbagai unsur masyarakat. Tidak terkecuali dari pihak swasta. Salah satunya terlihat dari program Corporate Social Responsibilty (CSR) Pertamina Hulu Mahakam (PHM). Perusahaan ini mendorong masyarakat khususnya anak muda milenial menjadi petani dengan memanfaatkan potensi lingkungan yang ada.

CSR PHM membina gapoktan dengan anggota sekitar 150 orang yang fokus ke pertanian tanaman pangan, hortikultura, perikanan dan peternakan.

Indra, salah satu tim penanggungjawab kegiatan CSR PHM mengatakan pihaknya berkoordinasi dengan penyuluh pertanian dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan hingga mengadopsi model kegiatan Pekarangan Pangan Lestari (P2L) di mana terdapat pertanaman pekarangan, peternakan, usaha pangan dan non pangan.

“Model pekarangan pangan ini kita kembangakan antara lain sayur-sayuran seperti sawi, kangkung, bayam, terong dan cabai. Ada juga peternakan lele dan ayam serta usaha pengolahan pangan maupun non pangan seperti pembuatan kompos,” ujar Indra

Hasil panen sayuran kelompok ditampung oleh jasa katering PHM dengan pegawai sekitar 400 orang. Sebagian dikonsumsi oleh rumah tangga dan sebagian lagi dijual untuk umum.

“Rumah tangga bisa menghemat pengeluaran pembelian sayuran sekitar 10 ribu rupiah per hari, sedangkan hasil ternak lele dijual ke pengepul rata-rata 1 ton per bulan dengan harga sekitar Rp. 18 ribu per kg,” ungkap Samingan, Ketua Gapoktan Purnama yang merupakan pelaksana kegiatan CSR PHM.

Pengembangan pekarangan sebagai sumber pangan mendapat dukungan dari Menteri Pertanian Syahrul Yasin Limpo. Dia berpesan agar masyarakat memanfaatkan pekarangannya sebagai kebun keluarga. Dia berharap di pekarangan pekarangan warga itu bisa ditanam berbagai jenis tanaman mulai dari sayur buah dan tanaman lain yang bermanfaat, bahkan peternakan dan perikanan.

“Ini yang menjadi kekuatan. Kita berharap tanaman pekarangan bisa menopang kebutuhan pangan sehingga ketahanan pangan tetap terjaga. Itu yang kami dorong saat ini,” ujar Mentan SYL.

Senada dengan Mentan SYL, Kepala Badan Ketahanan Pangan, Agung Hendriadi menuturkan, P2L telah menjadi kebutuhan di tengah kondisi pandemi yang masih melanda.

Menurutnya, dengan bertanam di pekarangan tidak saja menghasilkan bahan pangan yang dibutuhkan, namun masyarakat juga memiliki aktifitas yang menyehatkan sehingga imunitas dapat meningkat, dan terhindar dari covid-19.

“Bertanam di pekarangan itu selain dapat menghasilkan bahan pangan, juga menyehatkan karena kita bergerak dan fisik menjadi lebih sehat,” ucap Agung.

Agung juga mengungkapkan kegiatan P2L akan terus dikembangkan dan diperluas agar masyarakat mengenal dan mampu memenuhi kebutuhan pangan secara mandiri dari pekarangan.
