Unhas-Haerul Pembuat Pesawat Rakitan Disambut Pemkab Pinrang

KATACARA, MAKASSAR– Pada bulan Januari 2020, seorang pemuda asal Kabupaten Pinrang, Haerul, menjadi viral di seluruh Indonesia menyusul keberhasilannya menerbangkan pesawat rakitan sendiri. Pesawat karya Haerul itu dibuat secara otodidak. Walaupun secara faktual dapat terbang, namun belum memiliki standarisasi keamanan dan kelayakan.

Untuk mendukung inovasi Haerul, Fakultas Teknik (FT) Universitas Hasanuddin berinisiatif mengajaknya berkolaborasi mengembangkan desain dan standarisasi pesawat rakitannya. Dengan difasilitasi oleh Pemerintah Kabupaten Pinrang, proses pembuatan prototipe pesawat Haerul mulai berlangsung di Workshop FT Unhas, Kampus Gowa.

Tim Pendampingan Pesawat Haerul (PPH) dari FT Unhas, mengantar prototipe pesawat dari Workshop FT Unhas di Kabupaten Gowa dan tiba di Workshop Haerul, Kelurahan Pallameang Kecamatan Mattiro Sompe, Kabupaten Pinrang, pada Jumat (25/12) dini hari, sekitar pukul 01.30 Wita.

Prototipe pesawat ini diangkut menggunakan kendaraan truck 10 roda, menempuh perjalanan sekitar 6 jam dari Kampus FT Unhas, Kabupaten Gowa.

Kedatangan pesawat dijemput disambut hangat oleh masyarakat Kabupaten Pinrang. Turut hadir Plt. Camat Mattiro Sompe (A. Ramlan Nasir) dan Lurah Pallameang (Fajrin Ardiansyah Abma) sebagai perwakilan pemerintah kabupaten.

Ketua Tim PPH FT Unhas, Prof. Dr. Ir. Nasaruddin Salam, MT, menjelaskan bahwa pengkajian desain pesawat ultralight dirancang pada Agustus 2020. Pengerjaan fisik di Workshop FT Unhas berlangsung pada bulan September hingga Desember. Selanjutnya, Tim PPH menyerahkan kepada Haerul sebagai pemilik pesawat.

“Pesawat ultralight model sport ini dirancang Tim PPH dengan menggabungkan beberapa disiplin ilmu. Namun, desain awalnya dimulai dari sisi aerodinamika,” kata Prof. Nasaruddin.

Proyek pengerjaan pesawat ultralight ini merupakan pertama kali bagi Unhas dalam pembuatan pesawat langsung. Walaupun secara teori sudah lama diajarkan, termasuk uji model sudah sering kali dilakukan di laboratorium, seperti uji gaya angkat dan gaya hambat pada pesawat.

Selama pengerjaan pesawat, Tim PPH bersama tim monitoring diawasi oleh Federasi Aero Sport Indonesia (FASI) sebagai organisasi olahraga dirgantara di Indonesia. Hal ini dimaksudkan untuk memastikan aspek kelayakan dan keamanan saat beroperasi.

“Setiap saat dilakukan konsultasi dengan FASI, karena izin uji coba terbang ada di tangan FASI,” ungkap Prof. Nasaruddin.

Prototipe pesawat Haerul selanjutnya akan disempurnakan prosesnya di Workshop milik Haerul. Masih ada dua bagian lagi yang akan dikembangkan oleh Tim PPH bersama Haerul, yaitu mesin dan sistem kontrol di kokpit untuk mengatur operasional pesawat.

“Kita berharap pesawat ini akan siap uji terbang pada tahun depan. Kita akan mulai dari uji terbang dengan ketinggian bertahap, dimana pada setiap tahapan akan terus kita pantau hal-hal yang perlu disempurnakan,” tutup Prof. Nasaruddin.(*/mir)
