KATACARA, JAKARTA – Presiden Republik Indonesia, Joko Widodo membuka Rapat Kerja Nasional (Rakernas) Pembangunan Pertanian Tahun 2021 yang digelar secara virtual di Istana Negara, Senin, 11 Januari 2021. Dalam sambutanya Presiden Joko Widodo menyampaikan dalam kondisi Pandemi covid-19 sektor petanian menempati posisi yang semakin sentral, untuk itu Presiden menghimbau untuk berhati-hati, akibat adanya pembatasan mobiltas warga, bahkan distribusi barang antar negara serta distribusi pangan dunia.

Presiden Joko Widodo menegaskan bahwa untuk tetap dapat memenuhi pangan bagi 273 juta penduduk Indonesia, maka pengelolaan yang berkaitan dengan pangan serta pembangunan pertanian harus kita seriusi secara detil dan menggunakan sekala luas.
“Dalam mengatasi masalah yang terjadi saat ini kita harus membangun program pertanian yang berbasis economic of scale (sekala luas), untuk itu kenapa saya dorong food estate harus segera diselesaikan, “ ungkap Presiden Joko Widodo.

Lebih lanjut Presiden Joko Widodo juga mengungkapkan harapanya, agar tahun ini program Food Estate yang telah digarap di Provinsi Kalimantan Tengah dapat segera diselesaikan, karena menurutnya apabila program tersebut telah dilakukan, maka tahapan evaluasi penting dilakukan untuk melihat apa saja kendala yang terjadi di lapangan, sehingga nantinya apabila program tersebut berhasil dengan baik Provinsi lain bisa mencontohnya.

“ Inilah cara pembangunan pertanian yang harus kita tuju yaitu melalui skala luas dan menggunakan teknologi pertanian, sehingga nantinya harga pokok produksi bisa bersaing dengan harga komoditas yang sama dengan negara lain,“ tegas Presiden Joko Widodo

Dalam kesempatan tersebut Presiden Joko Widodo turut menyampaikan apresiasinya terkait adanya pertumbuhan positif pada sektor pertanian terutama pada peningkatan ekspor komoditas pertanian.

Sementara itu Menteri Pertanian (Mentan), Syahrul Yasin Limpo menyampaikan penghargaan yang setinggi-tingginya kepada Presiden RI berkenan hadir memberikan arahan dan membuka acara Rakernas, menurut Mentan hal ini menunjukan perhatian yang tinggi Presiden Joko Widodo kepada Kementerian Pertanian khususnya kepada para petani.

Dihadapan Presiden Joko Widodo dan beberapa Menteri serta tamu undagan baik offline maupun online yang hadir dalam Rakernas yang bertema “Memperkuat peran sektor pertanian dalam menopang pertumbuhan ekonomi di tengah Pandemi Covid -19 “, Mentan menyampaikan beberapa hal terkait laporan Pembangunan Pertanian Tahun 2021.

Mentan mengungkapkan bahwa Kementan telah menetapkan arah kebijakan yaitu pertanian Maju Mandiri Modern, sehingga arah kebijakan tersebut menjadi pedoman dalam bertindak cerdas cepat dan tepat bagi seluruh jajaran Kementan. Membangun pertanian yang maju, mandiri dan modern kian tertantang kala wabah corona masuk ke Indonesia, dan menghantam perekonomian dunia termasuk Indonesia.

Untuk itu dalam rangka mencapai ketahanan pangan, nilai tambah dan ekspor yang pertama harus dilakukan adalah meningkatkan produkivitas kemudian melakukan program pendukung yang telah diformat dengan 5 cara bertindak (CB) sesuai arahan Presiden Joko Widodo.

Lebih lanjut Mentan mengungkapkan bahwa dalam menindaklanjuti arahan Bapak Presiden, Kementerian Pertanian telah melakukan upaya terobosan melalui pengembangan kawasan pertanian skala luas (food estate) dan program koorporasi Pertanian di 6 Provinsi serta melakukan perluasan areal tanam.

Mengakhiri laporanya Mentan mengungkapkan bahwa dirinya beserta seluruh jajaran Kementerian Pertanian siap menjalankan tugas dan bekerja keras dilapangan. Dan menyampaikan terimakasihnya kepada semua pihak yang telah mendukung dalam pembanguanan pertanian.

“ Kami terus meminta arahan dan perintah dari Presiden RI, untuk menjalankan tugas kami. Dukungan dan kerjasama dari pemerintah daerah baik itu agubernur maupun bupati serta para Menteri yang lainya sangat luar biasa bagi kami, “ ujar mentan.

Presiden RI Joko Widodo (Jokowi) mendorong Kementerian Pertanian (Kementan) meningkatkan produksi pangan nasional. Jokowi berharap, upaya tersebut mampu mengurangi beban impor serta menjawab harapan banyak masyarakat terhadap kebutuhan pangan nasional.

“Carikan desain yang baik agar kita bisa selesaikan semua ini. Saya kira ini bisa menjadi catatan untuk kedepannya,” ujar Jokowi, Senin, 11 Januari 2021.

Jokowi menilai, ketergantungan komoditas pangan impor bisa dikurangi melalui pendekatan pertanian modern dengan memanfaatkan teknologi dan penyediaan lahan pertanian yang luas di seluruh Provinsi.

“Kita tidak bisa melakukan cara yang lama yang sudah bertahun tahun lalu. Kita butuh inovasi dan rutinitas yang tidak biasa,” katanya.

Mengenai hal ini, Menteri Pertanian (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo mengaku siap mengurangi ketergantungan impor dengan meningkatkan produksi pangan nasional. Menurut Mentan, saat ini jajaran Kementan sudah memiliki kebijakan jangka panjang yang bisa menekan angka impor.

“Saya sudah perintahkan kepada seluruh jajaran Kementan untuk menjawab tantangan ini. Saya mau 200 hari dari sekarang kita sudah bisa kasih jawaban ke Presiden,” katanya.

Sebagai informasi, di tahun 2020 impor pangan berkurang sebesar 10 persen. Penurunan tersebut disebabkan karena pemerintah memiliki program jangka panjang yang fokus membangun sumber pangan di tiap-tiap daerah.

“Perluasan area tanam di sejumlah daerah akan terus dilakukan sesuai arahan Presiden,” tuturnya.
