Universitas Pertamina Buka Pendaftaran Beasiswa Milenial Juara 1,5M

KATACARA, JAKARTA–Total penduduk Indonesia usia 19-23 tahun yang melanjutkan ke jenjang pendidikan tinggi hanya sekitar 30 persen sehingga Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) mencatat Angka Partisipasi Kasar (APK) Perguruan Tinggi di Indonesia pada tahun 2020 baru mencapai 30,85. Angka tersebut tertinggal dibanding negara jiran Malaysia, yang mencapai 50 persen.

Salah satu penyebabnya, karena para lulusan SMA/sederajat tersandung biaya untuk melanjutkan kuliah. Padahal tak sedikit diantara mereka, adalah siswa-siswi berprestasi.

“Guna mendorong siswa-siswi SMA/sederajat berprestasi untuk melanjutkan pendidikan tinggi, Universitas Pertamina menyediakan Beasiswa Milenial Juara. Beasiswa ini memberikan pembebasan 100 persen uang gedung dan uang SPP selama masa pendidikan delapan semester. Para penerima beasiswa juga akan memperoleh uang saku bulanan, penggantian transport ke Jakarta dan biaya premi asuransi kecelakaan,” jelas Wakil Rektor Bidang Akademik dan Kemahasiswaan Universitas Pertamina (UP), Budi W. Soetjipto, Ph.D.

Beasiswa dengan total nilai 1,59 Miliar Rupiah tersebut dibuka dengan skema jalur seleksi non tes. Tidak ada batasan level kejuaraan dan bidang kompetisi yang pernah dimenangkan.

Beasiswa Milenial Juara, hanya salah satu dari sekian beasiswa lain untuk menggelorakan prestasi mahasiswa. “Mahasiswa UP berprestasi di bidang ko-kurikuler maupun ekstrakurikuler, juga berkesempatan memperoleh Beasiswa Unggulan Semester atau BUS. Yaitu beasiswa keringanan biaya SPP. Setiap tahunnya, kami siapkan 900 juta rupiah untuk beasiswa ini” sambung Budi.

Tunggul Mirza, mahasiswa Program Studi Teknik Geologi berbagi pengalamannya menikmati beasiswa dari UP. “Saya mendapatkan BUS karena keaktifan saya dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler, organisasi kampus, dan capaian saya di berbagai kejuaraan. Sehingga memacu saya mengukir prestasi lain. Sampai saat ini setidaknya delapan prestasi sudah saya torehkan, baik di kancah nasional maupun internasional. Sehingga empat semester berturut-turut saya menikmati BUS,” kata Tunggul.

Tunggul melanjutkan, berkat prestasinya di berbagai lomba, ia dipercaya menjadi tutor untuk rekan-rekan seangkatan dan adik tingkatnya. “Kebanyakan dari mahasiswa seringkali minder untuk mengikuti kejuaraan. Saya berusaha menyebarkan semangat kompetisi dan berharap bisa mempengaruhi rekan-rekan yang lain untuk membangun kepercayaan diri. Alhamdulillah, di program studi strategi ini berhasil,” sambungnya.

Selain beasiswa, iklim prestasi dan kompetitif di UP juga dibangun melalui kompetisi hibah penelitian, seleksi magang di sejumlah instansi dan perusahaan top. Serta kompetisi-kompetisi internal lainnya baik yang diselenggarakan oleh universitas maupun program studi.

Selain Beasiswa Milenial Juara dan Beasiswa Unggulan Semester (BUS), UP juga menyediakan 13 jenis beasiswa lain untuk mahasiswa baru dan mahasiswa yang sudah berkuliah di UP. Saat ini, kampus milik PT Pertamina (Persero) tersebut, tengah membuka Pendaftaran untuk Seleksi Nilai Rapor dan Ujian Masuk Online.

Para pendaftar di kedua jalur masuk memiliki kesempatan untuk memperoleh keringanan biaya melalui Beasiswa Milenial Juara dan Beasiswa Ujung Negeri.
