Plan Indonesia Distribusi 14.086 Hygiene Kit bagi Anak-anak

KACARANEWS.COM,  Yayasan Plan International Indonesia (Plan Indonesia) melanjutkan tanggap pandemik COVID-19 di Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur. Minggu ini distribusi paket kebersihan diri dilakukan di Kabupaten Timor Tengah Selatan (TTS), Nagekeo dan Lembata. 

Kegiatan respons distribusi Hygiene Kit atau paket kebersihan diri untuk 14.086 Sponsor Child (SC) dan 9.477 Kepala Keluarga (KK) di tujuh kecamatan berlangsung dari 14 hingga 21 April 2020. Tujuh kecamatan tersebut adalah; Kecamatan Amanuban Timur, Fatukopa, Fautmolo, Ki’e, Amanatun Selatan, Mollo Tengah dan Mollo Selatan. 

Di Soe, Plan Indonesia bekerjasama Lembaga Swadaya Masyarakat (LSM) lokal sebagai mitra implementasi program di Area Timor. Mereka adalah Yayasan Pijar Timur Indonesia (YPTI), Yayasan Rumah Solusi Beta Indonesia (YRSBI), Yayasan Bife Kuan (Yabiku) dan Relawan Komunikasi Plan Indonesia di desa-desa dampingan. Respons ini juga didukung oleh Forum Penanggulangan Risiko Bencara (PRB) TTS.

Selain mendistribusikan paket kebersihan diri, Plan Indonesia juga melakukan penyuluhan tentang pandemik COVID-19, termasuk mengenali gejala, cara penularan dan pencegahannya serta pembagian poster tentang pandemik COVID-19. 

Muhammad Thamrin, Program Implementation Area Manager Plan Indonesia di Timor, mengatakan; “Kita berharap kegiatan pembagian paket kebersihan diri, dan juga penyuluhan terkait pandemik COVID-19 ini bermanfaat bagi semua masyarakat, anak-anak dan kaum muda terutama perempuan yang tersebar di wilayah TTS.” 

Kegiatan distribusi ini dilakukan berpedoman pada Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) yang telah dibuat, sehingga keamanan staf Plan Indonesia, mitra dan juga Kader Komunikasi yang ada di wilayah dampingan menjadi prioritas utama. Mulai dari pendataan penerima manfaat, persiapan distribusi, dan saat pelaksaan distribusi hingga kegiatan distribusi selesai.

“Saat distribusi misalnya, semua staf Plan dan mitra yang menjadi bagian dari tim distribusi diberikan penjelasan terkait SOP distribusi dalam situasi pandemik COVID-19 dan kode etik Plan Indonesia, misalnya; harus memilih lokasi distribusi di titik yang aman, memberikan informasi kepada Pemerintah Desa (Pemdes) dan kader tentang tujuan, proses dan jumlah material yang akan dibagikan,” kata Thamrin.

Kepala Bidang Sosial Budaya (Sosbud) Bappeda TTS, Yohanis Manu yang juga turut mengambil bagian dalam menyampaikan penyuluhan kepada masyarakat, mengatakan; “Kami menyampaikan ucapan terima kasih kepada Plan Indonesia atas komitmen dan kepedulian terhadap persoalan yang mendunia saat ini, khususnya untuk penyebaran virus corona,” lanjut Yohanis. Plan Indonesia sudah melakukan langkah yang baik dengan melakukan sosialisasi menggunakan Bahasa daerah setempat sehingga orang tua lebih cepat paham terkait penyebaran virus ini dan bagaimana mencegahnya.

 “Tidak hanya memberikan penyuluhan, Plan Indonesia juga memberikan paket kebersihan diri, seperti; sabun mandi, sabun cuci, gunting kuku, handuk dan lain-lain ini merupakan hal yang luar biasa dan kami sangat berterima kasih,” pungkas Yohanis.
