KATACARA, JAWA TENGAH – Pemerintah serius mewujudkan kemandirian pangan jangka panjang. Dalam skala nasional, Kementerian Pertanian tengah membangun Food Estate dan dalam skala kecil, sedang didorong industri rakyat berawal dari budidaya skala rumah tangga. Dua lokasi yang sedang dijadikan model percontohannya adalah Kabupaten Karanganyar dan Boyolali.

“Salah satu tantangan kita adalah keterbatasan lahan dan kawasan rumah yang semakin bertambah banyak. Meskipun demikian kita tidak boleh tinggal diam. Ibarat pepatah, jika hanya diam siap sajalah menunggu kematian. Kita buat perkebunan ala rumah tangga. Tiap rumah ada tanaman kelapa. Tiap rumah ada jeruknya, juga ada beragam tanaman sumber pangan lainnya,” ujar Menteri Pertanian Syahrul Yasin Limpo saat mengunjungi kawasan pertanian di Desa Kragan, Kecamatan Gandongrejo, Kabupaten Karanganyar dan Desa Giri Roto, Kecamatan Ngemplak, Kabupaten Boyolali, Sabtu (19/12).

Ditemani anggota Komisi IV DPR RI, Luluk Nur Hamidah berikut Bupati Karanganyar, Juliyatmono meyakini jika program pertanian integrasi didorong dari skala rumah tangga mampu mendorong perekonomian masyarakat.

Pria yang juga sekaligus Menteri Kelautan dan Perikanan ad interim ini menggambarkan, kekuatan perekonomian rakyat bisa terbentuk bahkan dari halaman rumah rakyat. Konsepnya menarik, integrasi budidaya padi, kelapa genjah, jeruk dan aneka sayuran hidroponik, bebek, ikan nila dan ikan lele dalam satu kawasan terpadu. Pengelolaannya nanti akan dikerjakan oleh masyarakat dengan menerapkan sistem korporasi.

“Saya dan jajaran akan mem-back up ini. Tiap satu bulan sekali kami akan turun ke lokasi untuk memantau perkembangannya. Tentunya bertahap prosesnya dan jika berhasil di satu kecamatan, kita pindah ke kecamatan lain. Jika berhasil di satu kabupaten lain, kami berharap bisa direplikasi ke kabupaten lain, begitu seterusnya,” ujar SYL, panggilannya.

Bupati Karanganyar, Juliyatmono yang juga turut mendamping sangat mengapreasi rencana pemerintah pusat. Dirinya meyakini program akan sungguh-sungguh dijalankan seluruh warganya.

“Sama-sama mengembangkan sektor petanian, itu artinya sama-sama membela negara. Karanganyar punya tagline tangguh dan maju. Warga kami aktif melakukan pertanaman dan senantiasa berhasil. Pertanian menyumbang pemasukan terbesar selama pandemi. Di tengah yang lain mengalami kelesuan, sektor pertanianlah yang tetap bertahan. Kami juga mendorong anak muda kembali terjun ke pertanian,” ujar Juliyatmono.

Juliyatmono juga turut meyakini apabila program ini berhasil, bukan mustahil industri pabrik bisa terbangun. Dari semua komoditas yang dikelola, jika dalam skala besar bisa tercipta produk olahan yang makin mengokohkan pemasukan.
