Donor Darah: PG Takalar Penyumbang Darah Terbanyak

KATACARA, Makassar–Pabrik Gula (PG) Takalar rutin adakan donor darah di area pabrik. Kegiatan donor darah ini dilakukan sukarela oleh karyawan, sebagai perusahaan negara yang berlabel BUMN (Badan Usaha Milik Negara) ini ikut berkontribusi penyediaan darah di Kabupaten Takalar. PG Takalar berkolaborasi dengan UTD RSUD Pajonga Dg Ngalle.

Sejak tahun 2010, PG Takalar berkomitmen menjadikan kegiatan donor darah menjadi program tahunan.
Tak disangka, PG Takalar menjadi salah-satu institusi penyumbang darah terbanyak di Kabupaten Takalar, Sulawesi Selatan.

Sekitar puluhan pendonor antri menjadi sukarelawan. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Pabrik Gula Takalar, pada hari Kamis 18 Februari 2021. Hadir pula pucuk pimpinan Ir H M Syahrul, selaku manager unit Pabrik Gula Takalar PT. Perkebunan Nusantara XIV.

“Terima kasih atas partisipasi pendonor pada hari ini. Semoga donor darah tetap rutin dilaksanakan karena donor darah akan menyelamatkan banyak jiwa, serta menyehatkan bagi pendonor itu sendiri,” ujar Syahrul, Kamis (18/02/2021).

Syahrul juga menambahkan bahwa program donor darah sebaiknya dilakukan jauh jauh hari. Dia berharap pendonor makin bertambah dengan sosialisasi yang matang.

“Saran agar sosialisasi donor darah dilakukan jauh-jauh hari. Agar partisipasi pendonor semakin bertambah,” tandasnya, Kamis (18/02/2021).

Serupa perkataan Dokter Vitalis S, bahwa donor darah menyehatkan dan berdampak baik bagi kesehatan tubuh manusia. Salah satunya pembentukan sel darah baru.

“Donor darah memiliki banyak manfaat. Selain menyehatkan karena dapat merangsang pembentukan sel darah baru, dengan melakukan donor darah kita dapat memberikan apa yang orang lain belum tentu bisa berikan, dan tentu saja menyelamatkan orang lain,” terang Dokter Vitalis S, Kamis (18/02/2021).

Meski pandemi Covid-19, kegiatan donor darah tidak mengkhawatirkan bagi para pendonor. Dokter Vitalis S membeberkan fakta bahwa Covid-19 tidak tertular melalui darah.

“Tenang saja sobat planters. Kegiatan mendonorkan darah kita tidak akan tertular Covid-19, karena Covid-19 tidak menular melalui darah. Selain itu, semua tenaga kesehatan sudah divaksin sehingga aman bagi pendonor,” tutupnya, Kamis (18/02/2021).
