KATACARA, TOLI-TOLI,– Sudah pukul Sembilan, namun siang hari di Kampung Bangir, Dampal Selatan, Tolitoli, Sulawesi Tengah datang lebih dini. Walau baru pukul Sembilan, namun hawa panas sudah menyelimuti kelas. Entah karena matahari di Sulawesi Tengah datang lebih awal, atau memang karena atap seng yang membuat kelas itu terasa lebih hangat.

Sedangkan, di waktu yang sama, dibalik dinding kelas berbahan kayu, siswa kelas 5 Madrasah Ibtidayah (MI) Darul Ihsan sudah memasukin satu jam terkahir jadwal belajar mereka. Guru Sarini hari ini (Kamis, 25/02) bertugas mengajarkan bab ‘Perubahan Zat’ mata pelajaran IPA kepada para siswa. Mata pelajaran berat ditambah hawa panas di dalam kelas, menjadi kombinasi yang tidak terlalu disukai kebanyakan siswa.

Namun tidak nampaknya untuk Fatma (11), nampak masih antusias mengikuti jalannya kegiatan belajar mengajar. Walau tak bisa dipungkiri, hawa panas cukup membuat dirinya kurang nyaman. Seperti siswa lain, Fatma juga memfungsikan buku buku tulisnya sebagai kipas penghalau hawa panas. Sembari Guru Sarini menjelaskan bagaimana benda padat menjadi benda cair, Fatma dengan serius memperhatikan.

Nampaknya, isu tentang lahirnya anak-anak cerdas di MI Darul Ihsan bukan sembarang datang begitu saja. Fatma adalah sosok percontohan dari kasus tersebut. Untuk anak seusiannya, Fatma sudah mahir berbicara di depan publik. Kosakata yang kaya, dan tutur kata yang sopan. Sangat mudah mengenali bahwa ia adalah anak yang cerdas, sekalipun sifat polos kekanakanya tidak hilang. Rupanya memang Fatwa adalah juara lomba ceramah di sekolah. Prestasi bagus untuk anak di usianya.

“Fatma ini juara lomba ceramah Pak, memang pandai dia berbicara di depan orang banyak,” begitu Guru Sarini mendeskripsikan salah satu anak didiknya tersebut.

Fatma hanya satu dari puluhan siswa brilian yang ada di Madrasah tersebut. Sayang memang bila menengok kondisi kelas mereka belajar. Selayaknya mereka pantas mendapat ruang belajar yang lebih nyaman. Walau dengan kondisi kelas yang kurang memadai, Fatma tak berhenti untuk belajar. Bahkan satu persatu prestasi masih ia bisa dapatkan dengan kondisi tersebut.

“Kelas saya kalau terik jadi panas, kalau hujan air masuk, dan kalau berangin itu masuk aroma tidak sedap dari sana (kendang ternak) yang dekat dengan sekolah,” begitu Fatma menungkapkan yang ia rasa ketika belajar di kelas tersebut.

Mungkin dengan kondisi kelas di MI Darul Ihsan, Fatma dan teman-temannya tidak merasa keberatan. Namun dalam hati kecil, akan sangat menyenangkan bila bisa merasakan kelas baru yang lebih nyaman. Bila prestasi bisa siswa dapatkan dengan kondisi kelas yang terbatas, tentu potensi mereka akan lebih baik dengan fasilitas belajar yang lebih layak.

“Senang sekali saya kalau dibangun kelas baru, tidak panas lagi, air tidak masuk lagi kalau hujan,” aku Fatma polos.”.
