Petani Cabai Sepakat Turut Amankan Pasokan Cabai Jelang HBKN

KATACARA, MAGELANG – Menjelang Ramadhan dan Idul Fitri 1422 H tahun ini, Kementan di bawah komando Syahrul Yasin Limpo semakin ketat memastikan ketersediaan pangan strategis. Direktur Jenderal Hortikultura, Prihasto Setyanto menyampaikan bahwa Direktorat Jenderal Hortikultura bersama dengan pelaku usaha cabai optimis pasokan cabai tahun ini aman.

Hal ini diketahui melalui koordinasi dengan para pelaku usaha (petani) cabai di wilayah sentra-sentra besar di Jawa. Di antaranya Blitar, Kediri, Tuban, Magelang, Temanggung, Kebumen, Boyolali, Banjarnegara, Bandung, Garut, Cianjur, Sumedang, Kulon Progo dan Sleman.

“Untuk menghadapi Ramadhan dan Idul Fitri kita harus pastikan agar cabai tersedia dalam jumlah yang cukup. Gejolak harga yang terjadi beberapa bulan ini tidak berlanjut hingga memasuki bulan puasa nanti,” ujar Sesditjen Hortikultura, Retno Sri Hartati Mulyandari.

Wanita kelahiran Klaten itu juga mengajak petani untuk terus bersinergi dengan pemerintah dalam menjaga ketersediaan cabai. “Cabai itu tidak bisa disimpan di gudang. Stoknya di lapangan dalam bentuk standing crop. Kepemilikannya adalah petani, maka kami berharap agar petani bersinergi dengan Ditjen Hortikultura dalam mewujudkan stabilisasi pasokan dan harga,” ujar Retno.

Berdasarkan hasil koordinasi dengan para pelaku usaha dari kabupaten tersebut, terkonfirmasi bahwa pasokan aneka cabai aman. Potensi luas panen cabai rawit pada April 5.851 hektare, Mei 10.178 hektare. Cabai keriting pada April 3.410 hektare, Mei 3.304 hektare sedangkan cabai besar pada April 3.345 hektare dan Mei 2.200 hektare.

“Meskipun kondisi panen di Blitar saat ini mengalami penurunan akibat efek berantai sejak pandemi Covid-19 namun diprediksi luas panen cabai rawit akan terus meningkat,” ujar pelaku usaha cabai asal Blitar, Sarwi.

Petani sekaligus anggota DPRD ini menjelaskan bahwa Blitar akan memasuki panen raya pada April – Mei dengan luas panen cabai rawit 2.080 hektare dan Mei 6.540 hektare.

Sejalan dengan Sarwi, petani asal Magelang Darno mengatakan bahwa volume cabai yang dikirim dari Magelang ke Jakarta saat ini kurang lebih 30 truk.

“Kapasitas per truk 6,5 ton. Artinya total pengiriman per hari mencapai 195 ton. Diprediksi pasokan aman pada bulan April – Mei mendatang,” paparnya.

Para pelaku usaha bersepakat untuk mendukung kegiatan untuk kemaslahatan bersama. Mereka siap mencurahkan pemikiran, tenaga dan ide-ide demi kemajuan pertanian hortikultura khususnya cabai.

Di tengah kesibukannya mengawal food estate hortikultura di Sumatera Utara, Direktur Sayuran dan Tanaman Obat Tommy Nugraha tetap memonitor perkembangan pasokan dan harga. Pihaknya juga optimistis bahwa pasokan dan harga cabai pada Ramadhan hingga Idul Fitri tahun ini aman.

“Selama sepekan ini harga cabai rawit yang sempat menyentuh harga Rp 105 ribu/kg di Pasar Induk, perlahan mulai turun hingga Rp 80 ribu/kg per hari ini (28/3). Melihat pergerakan tersebut saya optimistis harga terus berangsur turun ke titik normal,” ujar Tommy.

Lebih lanjut, Ditjen Hortikultura menyusun rencana aksi pengendalian fluktuasi harga cabai dengan tiga cara bertindak mulai dari peningkatan kapasitas produksi, diversifikasi produk turunan cabai serta penguatan sistem cadangan dan sistem logistik.

“Pada 2021 ini, Ditjen Hortikultura akan mengembangkan cabai melalui program kampung cabai. Ke depannya, kampung cabai tersebut akan difasilitasi mulai dari sarana persemaian sampai dengan pemasaran. Sentuhan teknologi juga akan digunakan pada proses persemaian benih agar lebih efisien dari segi waktu, sehingga pertanaman bisa dilakukan lebih cepat,” jelas Direktur Jenderal Hortikultura, Prihasto Setyanto dalam wawancara tertulis, Minggu (28/3).

Dirinya menjelaskan Ditjen Hortikultura juga mendorong penggunaan benih ke arah hibrida. Jika petani lebih memilih dengan benih lokal maka harus dapat melakukan seleksi benih dari tanaman yang sehat sehingga tidak membawa penyakit pada tanaman berikutnya dan produktivitasnya tetap tinggi.
