KATACARA, JAKARTA- Pandemi virus corona (Covid-19) yang melanda berbagai wilayah di Indonesia membuat persediaan kantong darah di Palang Merah Indonesia (PMI) kian menipis. Ketidaseimbangan antara kebutuhan darah dan jumlah donor (pemberi sumbangan) membuat stok darah di Palang Merah Indonesia (PMI) menurun. Merespon hal tersebut agar menjaga persediaan darah aman dan memadai selama pandemi covid 19, Dompet Dhuafa Volunteer (DDV) bekerjasama dengan Palang Merah Indonesia (PMI) DKI Jakarta membuka progam Gerakan Seribu Kantong Darah Bertempat di Philantropy Building, Jakarta Selatan. “Melalui Program Bantu Negeri “Berbagi Darah Dimasa Pandemi” yakni program kepedulian masyarakat melalui gerakan aksi donor darah yang diharapkan dapat menjadi momen menyebarluaskan pesan #1hari1kebaikan. Dari kepedulian ini diaharapkan kebutuhan stock darah yang berkurang dimasa Pandemi dapat terpenuhi dengan aksi kebaikan yang akan kita lakukan dengan tetap mengedepankan Protokol Kesehatan. Saat pandemi ini kan banyak masyarakat yang mengurungkan niat untuk berdonor, karena khawatir mengenai penularan virus. Gerakan ini mengajak masyarakat untuk kembali berdonor agar stok darah nasional sendiri bisa kembali terpenuhi.”ucap Fajar Firmansyah selaku Koordinator DDV Nasional.

Kekurangan stok darah, tidak lepas dari kekhawatiran masyarakat akan resiko penularan covid-19 ketika melakukakn donor. Padahal PMI sudah merancang proses donor darah yang sesuai dengan protokol pecegahan penularan covid-19. Oleh karena itu, DDV menginiasi Gerakan Seribu Kantong Darah untuk memenuhi kebutuhan stok darah yang sedang defisit.

Seperti yang telah diberitakan, stok darah PMI Nasional mengalami defisit, bahkan mencapai 50% dari total kebutuhan pada April dan Mei 2020 mengakibatkan masyarakat yang membutuhkan darah terpaksa harus mencari pendonor sendiri. Biasanya, mereka mencari pendonor dari lingkaran keluarga mereka, dengan resiko belum tentu tersedia.

“Ya, memang benar, kami (PMI) sedang mengalami defisit stok darah. Sehingga masyarakat yang membutuhkan darah terpaksa mencari pendonor secara mandiri. Mereka biasanya mencari pendonor dari keluarga mereka sendiri,” terang Dwinanto, petugas medis PMI DKI Jakarta yang bertugas.

Sebagai langkah awal, Gerakan Seribu Kantong Darah akan dilaksanakan hingga 21 November 2020 di Jabodetabek. Lima titik pelaksanaan diantaranya di Philantorpy Building, Jakarta Selatan (26 Oktober), Zona Madina, Parung, Bogor (5 November), Layanan Kesehatan Cuma-Cuma (LKC) Jabar, Bekasi (11 November), PMI Depok (17 November) dan di LKC Banten, Tangerang Selatan (21 November).

Rencananya, DDV juga akan melakukan gerakan yang sama di 32 provinsi di Indonesia, bekerjasama dengan jaringan Dompet Dhuafa di seluruh Indonesia.
