KATACARA, MAKASSAR– Seri Brunch Talk Edisi #47 kembali dihadirkan oleh Direktorat Komunikasi Universitas Hasanuddin. Untuk edisi kali ini tema yang dibahas yakni “Peran Senat Akademik (SA) Dalam Menunjang Kegiatan Akademik Unhas: Mengenal SA Unhas”. Kegiatan ditayangkan secara live melalui instagram @hasanuddin_univ, pukul 09.30 Wita, Senin (14/12).

Hadir sebagai narasumber, Ketua Senat Akademik Unhas Prof. Dr. Eng. Dadang Ahmad Suriamihardja, M.Eng. Beliau menjelaskan secara umum terkait tugas dan tanggung jawab SA sebagai organ Unhas PTN-BH dalam mendukung proses akademik di Unhas.

Pada kesempatan tersebut, Prof Dadang menjelaskan SA merupakan salah satu organ penting Unhas yang memiliki tugas dan tanggung jawab dalam menetapkan, memberikan pertimbangan serta melakukan pengawasan di bidang akademik. Organ ini disebutkan dalam statuta Unhas, bersama dengan dua organ lainnya, yaitu Rektor dan Majelis Wali Amanat (MWA).

Untuk melaksanakan fungsi dan kewenangan tersebut, SA memiliki anggota sebanyak 80 orang, yang terbagi dalam empat komisi dengan bidang tugas yang spesifik. Selain empat komisi, SA juga dibantu oleh Dewan Professor dalam mendukung arah kebijakan akademik.

Diakhir penyampaiannya, Prof Dadang berharap SA dapat menjalankan tugas dan fungsinya dengan baik untuk mengoptimalkan kualitas akademik Unhas melalui diskusi bersama.
