KACARANEWS.COM, JAKARTA-Prototype test kit Covid-19 buatan Indonesia telah selesai dibuat. Kabar baik ini menjadi terobosan baru bagian Indonesia. Sedikit demi sedikit penyempurnaan, test kit ini siap diproduksi untuk digunakan dalam mendeteksi secara akurat penderita Covid-19 di Indonesia.

Test Kit qPCR COVID-19 buatan anak negeri ini diberi nama NUSANTARA TFRIC-19. Proses desain dan uji laboratorium akurasi selesai pada Jumat (4/4). Pengembangan test kit ini dilakukan oleh Nusantics sebagai bagian dari Task Force Riset dan Inovasi Teknologi untuk Penanganan COVID-19 (TFRIC19) yang dibentuk oleh Badan Pengkajian dan Penerapan Teknologi.

Lebih jelas, CTO Nusantics Revata Utama menjelaskan bahwa pihaknya mendesain NUSANTARA TFRIC-19 tersebut menggunakan data genomic virus SARS-CoV-2 yang menyebar di Asia.

Diketahui Nusantics melakukan analisis bioinformatika dengan mencocokkan (alignment) sekuens genetika virus SARS-CoV-2 yang mewabah di Asia untuk memilih gen sasaran. 

Dari analisis bioinformatika, dua gen virus SARS-CoV-2 yaitu Gen RdRP (yang menghasilkan enzim untuk mereplikasi virus saat menginfeksi sel manusia) dan Gen N (yang melindungi inti RNA virus).

Hasil uji laboratorium membuktikan bahwa NUSANTARA TFRIC-19 bisa mendeteksi virus SARS-CoV-2 penyebab COVID-19 secara spesifik, dan tidak bereaksi terhadap genome virus SARS-CoV-1 atau virus corona lain.

Untuk diketahui, pembuatan prototipe test kita qPCR COVID-19 merupakan bagian dari gerakan Indonesia Pasti Bisa, yang diinisiasi oleh East Ventures. Gerakan tersebut melakukan menggalang pendanaan Rp 10 miliar untuk mendukung upaya Task Force Riset dan Inovasi Teknologi untuk Penanganan COVID-19 dalam mengembangkan dan memproduksi test kit COVID-19 buatan Indonesia.

Rencananya, test kit hasil pengembangan Nusantics akan diproduksi massal oleh BPPT, Bio Farma, dan Indonesia International Institute for Life Science. Dana yang dikumpulkan melalui gerakan Indonesia PASTI BISA akan digunakan untuk membiayai pembelian material dan bahan baku untuk memproduksi 100.000 test kit qPCR.
