Tim Satgas Kebencanaan FT Unhas Aksi Tanggap Darurat untuk Sulawesi Barat

KATACARA, MAKASSAR–Gempa bumi dahsyat mengguncang Sulawesi Barat, dengan daerah terdampak di Mamuju dan Majene, pada 14 dan 15 Januari 2021. Sebagai respon terhadap situasi bencana ini, Fakultas Teknik (FT) Unhas mengaktifkan Tim Satuan Tugas (Satgas) Tanggap Darurat Bencana. Acara pelepasan Tim Satgas yang akan menuju lokasi bencana berlangsung pada Sabtu (16/1), pukul 15.00 Wita.

Dekan FT Unhas, Prof. Dr. Ir. Muhammad Arsyad, MT, secara resmi memimpin acara pelapasan Tim Satgas. Turut hadir, Wakil Dekan Bidang Kemahasiswaan, Alumni, dan Kemitraan (Dr. Eng. Mukti Ali, ST., MT), Manajer Kemitraan FT Unhas (Dr. Eng. Ilham Alimuddin), Sekretaris Ikatan Alumni Teknik Geologi Unhas (Dedy Irfan, ST), Ketua Departemen Teknik Geologi (Dr. Eng. Asri Jaya ST., MT).

Dalam pesan-pesannya, Muhammad Arsyad menyampaikan apresiasi dan penghargaan atas sumbangan dan dukungan berbagai pihak untuk membantu masyarakat yang terdampak bencana gempa di Mamuju, Majene, dan sekitarnya. Pihaknya akan memastikan bantuan terdistribusi tepat sasaran pada masyarakat dan korban yang membutuhkan.

“Ini adalah bantuan tahap awal. Kita akan terus mengkoordinasikan upaya bantuan selanjutnya, setelah mengetahui kondisi di lapangan. Kami yakin, akan banyak sarana dan prasarana darurat yang perlu disiapkan, seperti sarana air bersih dan lainnya. Saya harap tim segera berkoordinasi dengan Tim Tanggap Bencana daerah setibanyak di lokasi,” kata Arsyad.

Mengingat saat ini masih dalam suasana pandemi Covid-19, Muhammad Arsyad juga berpesan kepada rombongan untuk tetap menjaga protokol kesehatan selama beraktivitas memberikan bantuan di lokasi bencana.

Pada kesempatan terpisah, Wakil Dekan Bidang Kemahasiswaan, Alumni, dan Kemitraan, Dr. Eng. Mukti Ali, menjelaskan bahwa Tim Satgas Bencana FT Unhas membawa sejumlah bantuan tanggap darurat. Sesuai asesmen awal, kebutuhan pokok yang sangat dibutuhkan dilokasi bencana berupa perlengkapan seperti tenda darurat, terpal, selimut, perlengkapan bayi, obat-obatan dan bahan makanan.

“Dalam waktu singkat, kami berkoordinasi untuk menyiapkan kebutuhan pokok yang dikumpulkan oleh sivitas akademika Fakultas Teknik bersama-sama bantuan dari Ikatan Alumni Teknik Geologi Unhas. Teman-teman dari IKA Teknik Nusa Tenggara dan Bali serta komponen Badan Pengelola Geopark Maros Pangkep juga merespon cepat penyiapan bantuan,” kata Mukti.

Donasi awal yang berhasil dikumpulkan berjumlah seratus juta rupiah, baik dalam bentuk materi maupun dana tunai yang segera digunakan untuk pengadaan barang-barang untuk bantuan.

Tim Satgas Bencana FT Unhas terdiri dari gabungan alumni dan pengurus Himpunan Mahasiswa di lingkup Fakultas Teknik. Untuk tahap pertama ini yang segera bergerak ke lokasi adalah Pengurus Himpunan Mahasiswa Geologi. Mereka relatif lebih berpengalaman turun ke daerah bencana. Sesaat setelah tiba di lokasi, Tim Satgas Bencana FT Unhas akan langsung berkoordinasi dengan Tim Tanggap Bencana di daerah setempat.

Selain itu, Tim Satgas Bencana FT Unhas juga telah berkomunikasi dengan Tim Tanggap Bencana dari Universitas Sulawesi Barat (Unsulbar) di Kota Majene. Di lapangan, tim akan berkolaborasi dengan IKA Teknik di Kota Mamuju.(*/ft/ir)
