KATACARA, MEDAN, – UPZ PT Bank Sumut bersama Dompet Dhuafa Waspada melakukan serah terima bantuan berupa 7,5 Ton beras untuk warga terdampak Pemberlakuan Pembatasan Kegiatan Masyarakat (PPKM) yang ada di Sumatera Utara, pada Jumat ini (23/7).

Serah terima ini dilakukan di pelataran PT Bank Sumut yang berada di Jalan Imam Bonjol No. 18 Kecamatan Medan Polonia. Acara ini diserahkan secara langsung oleh Hadi Sucipto selaku Direktur Pemasaran PT Bank Sumut didampingi pengawas Pengawas UPZ PT Bank Sumut Kaswinata dan Edi Riswan, kepada Sulaiman selaku Pimpinan Cabang Dompet Dhuafa Waspada.

Pada kegiatan serah terima ini, Hadi Sucipto turut menjelaskan bahwa bantuan yang dihimpun berasal dari dana zakat para pegawai PT Bank Sumut. “Adapun bantuan yang akan diberikan berasal dari dana zakat para pegawai PT Bank Sumut yang dipotong setiap bulannya secara sukarela untuk kemudian disalurkan melalui berbagai program”.

Hadi Sucipto juga menyampaikan dalam situasi pandemi seperti saat PPKM ini, PT Bank Sumut berusaha untuk peduli kepada masyarakat atas dampak yang dirasakan. “Dari bantuan ini kami ingin ikut peduli kepada masyarakat yang terkena dampak PPKM, meski tidak secara utuh membantu namun setidaknya sedikit meringankan beban”.

Terlepas dari bantuan yang diberikan, Hadi Sucipto berharap agar pandemi Covid-19 bisa segera berakhir. “Harapan kita tentunya pandemi ini bisa segera berakhir agar tidak ada lagi dampak sulit ekonomi yang dirasakan masyarakat, mari sama kita doakan”.

Menanggapi hal ini, Sulaiman selaku Pimpinan Cabang Dompet Dhuafa Waspada memberikan keterangan bahwa bantuan akan segera diberikan kepada masyarakat. “Alhamdulillah tadi sudah serah terima, maka insya Allah secepatnya akan kita lakukan penyaluran minggu depan di hari Senin dan Selasa”.

“Nantinya bantuan ini akan didistribusikan untuk daerah Medan dan sekitarnya, akan kita tentukan titik sebarannya, doakan semoga berjalan lancar,” tutup Sulaiman.
