KACARANEWS.COM, Film the Internship, yang dibintangi Owen Wilson dan Vince Waughn, adalah contoh menarik ketika dua mantan salesman yang minim penguasaan teknologi informasi tersebut magang di kantor Google. Beda suasana kerja kantor lama dan kantor baru tersebut membuat keduanya menjadi “aneh” dan serba terkaget-kaget. Ada lagi film the Intern yang disutradai Nancy Meyers diperankan oleh Robert De Niro (Ben) dan Anne Hathaway (Jules), mengisahkan hal yang mirip. Ben seorang pensiunan berusia 70 tahun magang di perusahaan online. Hari pertama masuk kerja saat setelah duduk, Ben mengeluarkan alat kerjanya: buku catatan, pulpen, dan kalkulator besar. Sementara di sebelahnya karyawan milineal mengeluarkan telpon pintar, flashdisk dan laptop.

Kedua film tersebut sebenarnya menggambarkan dunia nyata. Boleh dikata dua perusahaan tempat magang di kedua film tersebut adalah potret kerja di era Revolusi Industri 4.0 (RI 4.0). Apakah kita disini sudah memasuki RI 4.0? Apa hubungan RI 4.0 dengan Covid-19?

Revolusi Industri 4.0 (RI 4.0) telah membawa kita kepada dunia baru. Memang salah satu pemicunya adalah revolusi teknologi 4.0 yang antara lain mencakup kecerdasan buatan, internet of things, robotik, drone, cetak 3 dimensi, dan blockchain.

Namun sebenarnya RI 4.0 tidak sekedar aplikasi teknologi canggih yang serba digital tersebut, melainkan juga memerlukan perubahan cara berpikir dan cara bekerja sehingga perlu penguasaan skill baru yang lebih adaptif terhadap situasi baru ini. RI 4.0 telah membawa perubahan baru dalam kehidupan. Perubahan adalah keniscayaan, dan apakah kita sudah beradaptasi terhadap perubahan baru ini?

Ternyata Pandemi Covid-19 mempercepat kita beradaptasi dengan RI 4.0. Sebagian masyarakat yang selama ini belum mencoba atau belum menganggap penting, suka atau tidak suka telah masuk dalam “perangkap” RI 4.0. Lebih-lebih di era WFH ini, semakin terasa kehidupan ini berubah. Jadi kita masuk ke RI 4.0 karena dipaksa keadaan (by accident). Ada 6 bidang yang mengalami perubahan nyata.

Pertama, dunia pendidikan kini dipaksa memberlakukan pembelajaran daring, baik dari SD hingga perguruan tinggi selama masa pandemi ini. Dosen pun terpaksa harus belajar menyiapkan materi kuliah dan ujian daring, serta cara menilai ketercapaian learning outcome. Kampus terpaksa harus menyiapkan aturan main serta infrastrukturnya. Mahasiswa terpaksa harus siap dengan belajar cara baru dan bahkan harus siap ekstra kuota internet. Dalam taraf tertentu, belajar menjadi lebih fleksibel. Hasilnya kini semua dosen melek teknologi digital, sebelumnya masih gamang untuk memulai pembelajaran daring.

Kedua, dunia kerja dan birokrasi kini dicirikan dengan WFH. Ternyata kita bisa bekerja lebih fleksibel, efisien dan cepat dengan media daring, dengan hemat kertas, listrik, dan bahan bakar minyak. Kita semua makin adaptif dan terbiasa dengan tele-conference lintas kota dan bahkan lintas negara. Bahkan sehari bisa ikut 5 pertemuan intensif lintas kantor tanpa terkendala kemacetan lalu lintas. Dengan cara kerja baru, dunia kerja menghadapi tantangan menetapkan indikator kinerja para pegawainya, yang berbeda dengan cara-cara lama. Sistem insentif pun akhirnya mesti berubah. Memang manajemen organisasi kerja sedang mengalami disrupsi, dan kita baru bisa beradaptasi secara parsial.

Ketiga , dunia kesehatan memasuki RI 4.0. Saat Pandemi Covid-19 ini ada kekuatiran pasien untuk berkunjung ke rumah sakit. Interaksi dosen-pasien di masa sekarang ini dianggap berisiko. Karena itu kini muncul konsultasi dokter secara daring dan obat dikirim melalui jasa ekspedisi daring. Bahkan di negara maju kini sudah sampai pada praktik tele-medicine yang berbasis kecerdasan buatan. Sebenarnya kita pun sudah menikmati kecerdasan buatan untuk kesehatan dengan gawai pintar, seperti menghitung jumlah langkah sehari atau denyut jantung.

Keempat, dunia sosial sangat diuntungkan dengan berbagai platform yang memungkinkan adanya donasi secara luas atau crowd funding dengan lebih cepat dan efisien. Di saat pandemik Covid-19 ini banyak kelangan memanfaatkan platform ini untuk mencari dana untuk berbagai kepentingan sosial. Bahkan artis-artis terkenal pun tanpa harus berkumpul mampu mengadakan konser amal secara daring dengan sukses.

Kelima, dunia transportasi daring makin meluas. Saat WFH ini, kirim barang dan beli makanan cukup menggunakan jasa ojek daring tanpa ada rasa kuatir. Artinya kita sudah percaya pada platform daring yang terkoneksi ke berbagai hal. Sistem daring seperti ini telah mengendalikan perilaku manusia.

Keenam, dunia pertanian dan perikanan menghadapi cara baru. Di era pandemi Covid-19, sebagian produk pertanian mengalami over suplai di desa dan harga jatuh. Distribusi konvensional terbatas. Namun kini sebagian petani mitra IPB menikmati penjualan secara daring dengan harga lebih baik. Konsumen pun menikmati harga yang lebih murah. Sebenarnya kebuntuan distribusi ini mestinya bisa diatasi dengan instrumen blockchain untuk mengatur logistik pangan lebih efisien.

Agenda ke depan agromaritim 4.0 adalah penerapan drone untuk memupuk dan pengendalian hama, traktor tanpa awak, robot bawah laut, satelit untuk melihat unsur hara di tanah dan kondisi ekosistem laut, dan bioinformatika untuk menghasilkan benih unggul.

Jadi, Pandemi Covid-19 secara tidak disadari menggiring kita pada kehidupan baru yang merupakan cerminan RI 4.0, meski masih bersifat amat parsial. Apakah perubahan ini hanya sementara saja semasa WFH dan lalu kita akan kembali ke pola kehidupan sebelumnya? Ataukah perubahan ini permanen dan sekaligus mengantar kita ke pintu gerbang RI 4.0 yang sesungguhnya?

RI 4.0 hanyalah cara hidup, namun kalau kita ingin survive maka cara hidup juga harus berkembang menyesuaikan zaman. Seperti kata Darwin, yang survive bukanlah yang paling kuat dan paling pinter, tapi yang responsif terhadap perubahan.
