Ini Kurikulum Vokasi Anyar, Agar Lulusan Lebih Siap Kerja

KATACARA, JAKARTA, – Meski kebutuhan industri tinggi, namun lulusan sekolah vokasi masih kesulitan unjuk gigi. Wisudawan sekolah vokasi menghadapi tantangan rendahnya penyerapan mereka sebagai tenaga kerja. Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) pada Februari 2020 mencatat dari 131,03 juta total pekerja di Indonesia, hanya 2,79 persen yang merupakan jebolan vokasi (D1-D3). Kesenjangan antara kebutuhan industri dan kualifikasi lulusan vokasi, ditengarai menjadi salah satu biang keladi rendahnya serapan wisudawan vokasi di industri.

Di sisi lain, PT Pertamina (Persero) sebagai holding company bidang energi, saat ini tengah getol membangun megaproyek Refinery Development Master Plan (RDMP). Peremajaan kilang minyak tersebut dilakukan di lima lokasi yakni Cilacap, Balikpapan, Plaju, Balongan, dan Dumai. Megaproyek ini bakal membutuhkan banyak tenaga kerja, terutama lulusan vokasi.

Untuk itu, Universitas Pertamina ditugaskan BUMN energi melakukan revitalisasi kurikulum pendidikan vokasi. Terkhusus bagi lima sekolah vokasi yang terletak di sekitar lokasi kilang. Rektor Universitas Pertamina, Prof. Ir. I Gusti Wiratmaja Puja, Ph.D., mengungkapkan revitalisasi ini bertujuan agar kurikulum yang sudah diterapkan di sekolah vokasi saat ini dapat lebih sreg dengan kebutuhan industri.

“Kami mencocokkan kurikulum yang sudah ada di sekolah-sekolah tersebut dengan perkembangan kebutuhan dunia industri energi. Sehingga, nantinya para lulusan sekolah vokasi dapat memiliki kompetensi seperti yang diinginkan dunia industri,” jelasnya dalam wawancara daring, Selasa (23/03).

Kurikulum vokasi baru yang telah dirampungkan tim Universitas Pertamina, disosialisasikan kepada lima politeknik di waktu yang berbeda. Yakni: AKAMIGAS Balongan (17/3), Politeknik Negeri Cilacap (19/3), Politeknik Negeri Samarinda (22/3), Politeknik Negeri Balikpapan (23/3), dan STT Migas Balikpapan (23/3). Sosialisasi dilakukan secara hibrid (daring-luring) dihadiri oleh Wakil Rektor Bidang Penelitian, Pengembangan dan Kerjasama Universitas Pertamina, Vice President of Finance Pertamina Foundation, Direktur Kemitraan Universitas Pertamina dan tim dosen, serta perwakilan PT Pertamina (Persero). Turut hadir seluruh jajaran direksi dan kepala program studi lima sekolah vokasi.

President Director Pertamina Foundation selaku badan penyelenggara Universitas Pertamina, Agus Mashud Asngari, menggarisbawahi peran strategis universitas dan potensi pengembangan ke depan. “Universitas Pertamina digagas sebagai center of excellence penelitian dan pengembangan energi di Pertamina dan industri energi pada umumnya. Salah satunya melalui proyek revitalisasi kurikulum ini. Kita akan kembangkan melalui sinergi program Pertamina Foundation yaitu kompetisi energi baru terbarukan, kewirausahaan dan beasiswa bagi siswa-siswi politeknik,” tuturnya.

Sementara itu Wakil Rektor Bidang Penelitian, Pengembangan dan Kerjasama Universitas Pertamina, Prof. Dr. Ir. Wawan Gunawan A. Kadir, MS., menjelaskan revitalisasi kurikulum pendidikan vokasi mencakup standar kompetensi lulusan, rencana pembelajaran semester, kualifikasi dosen, dan instrumen penilaian. “Kami harap, ke depannya baik lulusan sarjana maupun vokasi dapat sama-sama bersinergi mengisi pos-pos kerja. Demi mewujudkan cita-cita menjadi negara dengan perekonomian terbesar ke lima di dunia pada tahun 2024, seperti diprediksi oleh World Bank dan IMF,” ujarnya.

Terpilihnya Universitas Pertamina sebagai mitra strategis tentu bukan tanpa alasan. Meskipun terbilang kampus baru, Universitas Pertamina memiliki kurikulum yang sudah disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan industri energi saat ini. Selain itu, Universitas Pertamina juga telah memiliki kombinasi dosen akademis dan dosen praktisi bidang energi. Beragam kerja sama penelitian dan pengembangan bersama Pertamina, pemerintah daerah dan perguruan tinggi lain telah menjadi curriculum vitae Universitas Pertamina.

Saat ini, kampus besutan PT Pertamina (Persero) tersebut sedang membuka pendaftaran Ujian Masuk Daring (Online) untuk Tahun Akademik 2021/2022. Pendaftaran telah dibuka sejak tanggal 15 Maret hingga 15 April 2021 mendatang. Seleksi ini dapat diikuti oleh lulusan SMA/SMK/MA tahun kelulusan 2017 hingga 2021. Siswa-siswi dapat memilih empat program studi yang ada di Universitas Pertamina, disesuaikan dengan kelompok ujian yang dipilih dan latar belakang pendidikan SMA/SMK/MA/sederajat yang ditempuh.
