KATACARA, JAKARTA, – Sepekan setelah banjir dan badai yang melanda Sumba Timur, beberapa wilayah dilaporkan masih terisolasi. Ambil contoh Desa Maidang, Kecamatan Kambata Mapambuhang, 45 km dari Kota Waingapu. Jembatan yang membentang di atas sungai Maidang, hancur diterjang banjir.

“Sekitar 100 kepala keluarga di wilayah Maidang, saat ini terisolir akibat putusnya jembatan. Sehingga bantuan pangan dan obat-obatan sulit menjangkau mereka. Sejauh ini baru ada bantuan dari pemerintah berupa beras 1.25 ton bagi 225 kepala keluarga. Warga masih sangat membutuhkan bantuan,” ujar Akhmad Zaeni, relawan mitra Universitas Pertamina dan Pertamina Foundation di Waingapu melalui wawancara daring, Kamis (15/04).

Sekitar 90 persen lahan pertanian warga seluas 30 hektar, lanjut Zaeni, hancur terendam lumpur. Padahal mata pencarian warga utamanya dari bertani. Akibatnya mereka terancam gagal panen, sehingga warga tidak memiliki sumber pendapatan.

Pertamina Peduli melalui Universitas Pertamina dan Pertamina Foundation dan bekerja sama dengan relawan lokal memberikan bantuan melalui posko mobile bagi warga Desa Maidang. “Sesuai pendataan kebutuhan, kami memberikan bantuan yang mendesak diperlukan warga. Yaitu berupa bantuan pangan terdiri dari beras, minyak goreng, ikan asin, garam dan biskuit,” kata Roby Hervindo, Sekretaris Universitas Pertamina.

Roby menambahkan, selain kebutuhan pangan, akses kesehatan juga sangat dibutuhkan warga. Dengan terputusnya jembatan, warga kesulitan mendapatkan layanan kesehatan yang layak.

Bantuan dikirimkan melalui posko mobile karena jalur ke Maidang berupa tanjakan terjal, hanya bisa dilalui kendaraan roda empat 4×4 sehingga sulit mendapatkan akses bantuan. Posko mobile dilengkapi dengan dua mobil angkut sembako, satu mobil angkut alat kebersihan dan satu mobil membawa tim kesehatan yang bertolak ke Desa Maidang pada Selasa (13/04). Tidak hanya itu, setibanya di lokasi air terjun Lakolat yang bercabang ke tiga sungai, bantuan diseberangkan manual ke desa juga dengan rakit dari batang pisang.

Sementara itu, Agus Mashud, President Director Pertamina Foundation yang memimpin pelaksanaan bantuan bagi korban bencana, menekankan pentingnya perhatian penanganan pasca bencana. “Warga Sumba Timur praktis kehilangan mata pencaharian akibat bencana banjir dan badai seroja. Ternak dan tanaman pertanian sirna dihantam banjir. Wilayah lain yang tidak terdampak langsung oleh banjir, ikut menderita akibat jebolnya bendungan. Sehingga mereka tidak bisa mengairi lahan pertaniannya,” tutur Agus.

Selain di Desa Maidang, Pertamina Peduli melalui PFbangkit Pertamina Foundation telah menyalurkan bantuan pangan dan obat-obatan di sepuluh lokasi sekitar kota Waingapu. Di antaranya termasuk Kampung Raja di Desa Prailiu, Desa Mauliru, Kambaniru, Palindi, Kaiku, tempat pengungsian di Gereja Kristen Sumba, dan termasuk Desa Lambunapu yang terdampak parah di mana lebih dari 15 Ha tanaman holtikuktura siap panen habis disapu banjir bandang.

“Kami harap bantuan tidak berhenti di sini karena mereka masih banjir ini sangat berdampak parah, mulai dari air irigasinya kering, sumur penduduk juga mulai kerontang. Semoga setelah ini bantuan dari pemerintah daerah dan masyarakat Indonesia bisa terus berdatangan,” tutup Agus.***
