KATACARA, JAKARTA- Meningkatnya kasus infeksius Covid-19 di tengah masyarakat, tak hanya membuat kuwalahan tim medis dan fasilitas layanan kesehatan saja. Selain menipisnya stok oksigen, keterbatasan ICU, kali ini pandemi Covid-19 juga membuat sibuk tim pemulasaran jenazah. Lonjakan kasus pasca lebaran Idulfitri, mencatatkan angka yang luar biasa. Salah satunya catatan angka kematian akibat Covid-19 yang pada Minggu (11/7/2021), angka kematian per hari masih tembus lebih dari seribu jiwa.

Dengan catatan angka tersebut, otomatis permintaan layanan mobil dan pemulasaran jenazah turut meningkat. Sejak sepekan bergulis, Crisis Center Covid-19 Dompet Dhuafa yang juga membuka layanan pemulasaran gratis, kebanjiran permintaan. Sedari pagi tadi, Senin (12/7/2021), tim badan pemulasaran jenazah (Barzah) Dompet Dhuafa, terus melayani permintaan pemakaman jenazah akibat Covid-19.
“Hari ini, sampai sore tadi, kami maksimalkan armada untuk pemakaman jenazah Covid-19. Hari ini dengan memaksimalkan 5 armada barzah dan armada dari kemitraan, kami melayani sekitar 10 pemulasaran jenazah Covid-19 dan 2 jenazah non Covid. Sejak kasus meningkat, permintaan di pusat informasi dan layanan Barzah juga banyak. Bahkan setelah sampai di pemakaman, tim Barzah harus mengantri,” jelas Irawan, selaku tim kontak layanan Barzah Dompet Dhuafa melalui pesan singkat.
Irawan juga menambahkan bahwa meningkatnya permintaan layanan diakses langsung oleh keluarga almarhum atau almarhumah. Lantaran jika menunggu antrian dari rumah sakit, bisa menunggu antrian dua hingga tiga hari. Semua akibat kasus Covid-19 yang terus meningkat di Indonesia.
