KATACARA, JAKARTA, – Setiap tahun, angka penduduk usia kerja di Indonesia mengalami tren yang cenderung naik. Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) mencatat, pada Februari 2021, total penduduk usia kerja Indonesia mencapai 205,36 juta orang. Dari jumlah tersebut, sebanyak 19,10 juta orang atau 9,30% terdampak Covid-19.

Sementara jumlah masyarakat yang tidak memiliki pekerjaan di Indonesia masih berada di angka 8,75 juta. Untuk menekan jumlah pengangguran, pemerintah terus menggenjot pertumbuhan UMKM. Sektor ini terbukti ampuh menyerap tenaga kerja hingga 97 persen.

“Hal ini yang menjadi dasar kami menggagas pembuatan platform sosio-edupreneur yang dinamakan SEPIA.ID. Tujuannya untuk membantu masyarakat berwirausaha,” ujar Nabila Putri Sahlan, mahasiswi Program Studi Hubungan Internasional Universitas Pertamina Angkatan 2019. Tak sekedar platform online, Nabila dan 11 orang rekan timnya juga turun ke lapangan membimbing warga berwirausaha.

Platform ini, lanjut Nabila, memberikan webinar gratis untuk komunitas sosial. Kemudian, mereka memberikan pelatihan dan pengembangan inkubasi bisni untuk warga. Salah satu program yang mereka laksanakan adalah “Pengolahan Sampah Menjadi Probiotik Cair.” Program ini sudah sampai di tahap komersialisasi produk probiotik cairnya.

Keberhasilan program inovatif ini diganjar dengan penghargaan The Most Outstanding Project di ajang Istanbul Youth Summit 2021. Ajang internasional yang digelar pada tanggal 22 hingga 25 Maret 2021 di Turki, mengusung tema ‘Public Leadership Through the Crisis’. Diikuti oleh pemuda-pemudi dari berbagai negara seperti Turki, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Pakistan dan negara-negara Amerika Latin.

Dr. Farah Mulyasari, S.T., M.Sc., Plt. Dekan Fakultas Komunikasi dan Diplomasi Universitas Pertamina mengungkapkan rasa bangganya atas prestasi yang diraih Nabila. “Inovasi SEPIA.ID ini berpotensi membangun ekonomi kreatif di tengah kondisi pandemi. Apalagi di era disrupsi seperti sekarang, kita sudah tidak bisa lagi berpikir business as usual. Banyak hal-hal baru di luar sana yang perlu kita kembangkan,” ujar Farah.

Di Universitas Pertamina, mahasiswa dapat memupuk dan mengembangkan kewirausahaan melalui berbagai kegiatan baik yang bersifat ko-kurikuler maupun ekstrakurikuler. Di tahun ke-4 misalnya, mahasiswa akan memperoleh mata kuliah wajib bernama Capstone Design dengan proyek akhir berupa cetak biru (blueprint) inovasi di bidang keilmuannya masing-masing.

Bagi siswa siswi SMA berminat kuliah di kampus milik PT Pertamina (Persero) tersebut, saat ini tengah dibuka Seleksi Nilai Rapor untuk Tahun Akademik 2021/2022.
