KATACARA, MAKASSAR– Menteri Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif Republik Indonesia, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno memaparkan strategi pemulihan sektor pariwisata dan ekonomi kreatif dalam kuliah umum di Universitas Hasanuddin.

Kegiatan yang menjadi salah satu rangkaian kunjungan kerja tersebut berlangsung mulai pukul 10.30 Wita secara luring terbatas dengan penerapan protokol Covid-19 di Aula Ruang Senat Akademik, Lt. 2 Gedung Rektorat, Kampus Tamalanrea. Acara juga terhubung secara virtual melalui aplikasi zoom meeting dan siaran langsung di kanal youtube Unhas, Jumat (18/06).

Dalam pemaparannya, Sandiaga Uno menjelaskan sektor pariwisata maupun ekonomi kreatif memperoleh dampak signifikan sejak pandemi Covid-19. Sesuai data dan angka menggambarkan terjadinya kontraksi di berbagai lini pariwisata dan ekonomi kreatif. Meskipun cenderung stabil, akan tetapi dua hal ini sangat terpengaruh oleh pandemi.

Sebagai upaya meningkatkan kembali dua sektor tersebut, Sandiaga Uno mengatakan telah dilakukan beberapa langkah strategis diantaranya menghadirkan inovasi melalui pendekatan big data guna memetakan potensi dan penguatan berbagai sektor pariwisata. Selain itu, dilakukan perubahan mendasar terhadap destinasi super prioritas dalam satu tahun mulai dari busana, tarian, kuliner, dan infrastruktur.

“Sektor pariwisata tahun 2020 terjun bebas sebagai dampak Covid-19 yang mempengaruhi mobilitas. Data menunjukkan sebanyak 75% wisatawan asing mengalami penurunan. Padahal sektor ini menempati posisi tiga besar dunia dan Indonesia dalam kontribusinya terhadap PDB. Ini yang menjadi pekerjaan kita bersama untuk menghadirkan inovasi, mampu beradaptasi dan tentunya diperlukan kolaborasi semua pihak termasuk perguruan tinggi,” ungkap Sandiaga Uno.

Sementara itu, dalam upaya pengembangan sumber daya manusia parekraf mandiri melalui wirausaha, Sandiaga Uno mengatakan kamenparekraf menciptakan dan mengembangkan pelaku UMKM di sektor parekraf dengan akfit berkolaborasi bersama Telkom University & Sahabat UMKM dengan memfasilitasi pelatihan bagi 600 calon wirausaha muda. 

Pelatihan terkait pitching dan proses matchmaking dengan calon investor tersebut
diharapkan menjadi champion dalam mendukung aktifitas pariwisata dan ekonomi kreatif di destinasi.

Setelah memberikan pemaparannya, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan sesi diskusi dan tanya jawab dari para peserta yang mengikuti kegiatan. Para peserta yang didominasi oleh jajaran pimpinan maupun sivitas akademika Unhas secara aktif memberikan saran dan masukan mengenai hal tersebut.
