Kacaranews.com, Jakarta- Menteri Pertanian, Syahrul Yasin Limpo, kerap dalam setiap kesempatan menekankan bahwa Penyuluh pertanian adalah agen perubahan. Penyuluh diimbau Syahrul Yasin Limpo agar benar-benar cakap mengelola pertanian.

Penyuluhan pertanian sebagai perantara dalam proses alih teknologi dan pelayanan penyuluhan berupa informasi teknologi,  harga input-output dan informasi pasar. Mentan mengoptimalkan kinerja penyuluh pertanian di daerah dengan pengawasan melalui AWR (Agriculture War Room).

Komitmen memunculkan penyuluh pertanian yang hebat, Syahrul Yasin Limpo optimis bakal dapat memacu produksi serta berkolaborasi dengan petani di seluruh Indonesia.

Menanggapi arah kinerja tersebut, anggota DPD RI Christiandy Sanjaya menyambut baik pemikiran Syahrul Yasin Limpo soal peningkatan kapasitas Penyuluh pertanian.

Menurut Senator daerah pemilihan Kalimantan Barat ini, tenaga dan pemikiran Penyuluh memang setiap saat amat dibutuhkan guna mendorong produktivitas sektor pertanian di daerah.

“Apalagi kalau ditelisik dari data, sepertinya jumlah Penyuluh pertanian masih sedikit. Tidak seimbang dengan target memacu produksi dan luas areal pertanian bisa dikelola,” ujar mantan Wakil Gubernur Kalimantan Barat dua periode ini, Jumat (28/2/2020).

Christiandy menyatakan, amat mengapresiasi Syahrul Yasin Limpo yang menaruh perhatian terhadap pentingnya keberadaan tenaga Penyuluh pertanan di setiap daerah-daerah di Indonesia.

“Kami di DPD juga siap membantu Kementan untuk mendesain hadirnya tenaga Penyuluh pertanian yang hebat seperti keinginan pak Mentan. DPD membuka ruang kerja sama,” ucap Christiandy. (*)
